Some ISP's use 'Port 25 Blocking'. This is a method
used by ISP's to help control Spam.
Some
large ISP's that use port 25 blocking are:
- EarthLink
-MindSpring
-AT&T
-Net Zero
-MSN
Many
other ISPs also use port 25 blocking, but those are
some of the major ones.
If
your ISP is using port 25 blocking you must send all
outgoing mail
through their mail server.
You
can contact your ISP to determine if they are using
port 25 blocking and how to configure your
mail client if they are.

Why am I no longer able to send e-mail from my Outlook
accounts when I am signed in to my ISP?
If you are using Outlook Express with multiple e-mail
accounts from different Internet Service Providers or
Mail Servers you may experience problems sending e-mail
from your ISP accounts when you are signed to Outlook.
Some ISP is implementing an industry-standard spam filtering
system on our e-mail servers. This action is part of
a new set of anti-spam initiatives designed to protect
ISP customers and the their e-mail system from unsolicited
commercial e-mail.
MSN, EarthLink, MindSpring, AT&T, Net Zero and other,
does not provide support for accessing e-mail from other
ISP accounts through their service. If you want to continue
to do so while you are signed in to these ISP, you must
re-configure your Outgoing mail (SMTP) server information
to ensure that all of your outbound e-mail is sent through
the ISP SMTP mail servers. To do this, follow the (sample)
instructions below. Repeat these instructions for each
additional account you have set up in Outlook Express.
Note: Any issues you encounter with the following configuration
are not supported by E-Webstyle. These instructions
are only provided to assist subscribers who elect to
configure Outlook Express to use more than one ISP e-mail
account.
