Set Outlook to allow .exe files

Friday, April 25th, 2008

If Outlook is currently telling you “Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachements .exe” and you need access to that document.  You can let the person who sent you that document know that they need to zip the file before they send it or you can set you Outlook to allow you access.  All you have to do is follow this link and Microsoft does a great job of walking you through how to make this happen.  You will need to do a reboot.

Heres the link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829982

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

If you have Outlook 2003 and you dont have any holidays past 2006 then you need this file.  Download this file Outlook.zip.  Save it on your desktop.  Extract Outlook.hol from the zip file onto your desktop.  Double click the file make sure your country is selected and press ok.  You may get a warning screen which says that the holidays have already been installed do you want to install them again?  Say yes because it is seeing that holidays before 2006 have been installed.  You want to add holidays from 2006-20012.  Done!!
